Tutorial for Making A Snow Globe:

Download the Base and Globe tube here, and put them in your tubes folder.

1- Resize your Picture to 300. Then go to View Menu make sure Normal Viewing is on.

2- Measure where you want the globe to be, you may have to make the globe larger to 125 or less depending where you want it on the pic.

If you added a globe for measuring,  go to undo so it's gone.  Keep resizing your pic and globe till you like how it looks, then undo, so the globe is gone from the page.

Control Z will keep undoing every step, you can undo alot of mistakes.

3- Go to Layers Menu >> New Raster Layer

4- Put the Globe over the picture. Make sure the edges of the globe are not outside the lines of the border or it will be cut off.

5- With the magic wand tool, click anywhere outside the Globe. Do not Click on the Globe.
You will see everything here highlighted like in the picture.

6- From Selections Menu Choose Invert.  You will now see only the circle highlighted.

7- Go to Layers Menu >> Merge >>> Merge Visible.  "Never"choose Merge Flatten or you lose the tranparancy.

8- Your circle should still be highlighted,  Control-C,  then Control-P, this will paste just the circle picture into a new window.

Your new window should look like this.

9- Go to Image Menu, Choose Canvas Size. This should be changed to larger than you pic. 500 X 500 is good. This now gives you alot of space to add a base.  Add the Base Tube to the bottom of your Globe.

10 - Once you have your base and any other little tubes added to decorate, go to Layers,  Merge Visable if it's an option.

11- With the Selection Tool on Rectangle, copy the entire picture to just the size you want to see, Control- P, your new globe is finished.

12- Animating your Globe

Select your new Window, Shift-D  to duplicate it 2 more times. You will have a total of 3 pics, save them in a folder. Line the 3 pics up so you can see them all next to each other.

13- Add 3 or 4 sparkles to each. Resize your sparkles for different looks. Make sure the sparkles aren't outside the globe lines or they will look bad. Place them in alternating areas, since the animation will show them in this order.   SAVE !

14- Open Animation Shop.  File > Animation Wizard.

Next > Transparent
Next > Upper left corner of frame  >> with the canvas color
Next > Yes repeat the animation indefinitely   >> How Long :  19
Next >  Add Image. Add all your images in the order you want to see
Next & Finish.

15 - View Menu > Animation

If you don't like how the animation turned out go back to your original 3 pics in psp, Control-Z till all the sparkles are gone on each and do it over and Save.  Then repeat step 14 till you get it perfect.

15- Once you like your Animation, Save !
