No Smiley Faces:

When the guest avatars (smiley faces) are not showing up, that is a
form of prop file corruption, but you might be able to fix it. First, just
to be safe, back up your Palace.prp file. Then, go to the Palace called
Hotcity Script Barn, located at: scriptbarn.palacetools.net (port 9998)

Once there, look for a room near the bottom of the room list called
Barbara's Prop Recovery. In that room, there are 13 gray smiley props,
called "masks". Click on each one, and drag the gray smiley faces into
your prop bag. When you have all 13 of them in your prop bag, exit the
Script Barn Palace and the client (File Menu, Disconnect, and then File
Menu, Exit), and then restart the Palace client, and see if you can see all
the smiley faces again. If you can, then you have repaired your Palace.prp
file, and you should then make a new backup of your Palace.prp file.

If you still can't see the smiley faces after trying the above
procedure, then your Palace.prp file is still corrupted, and will need to be
replaced. you can download a new Palace.prp file at this location:

Replace the Palace.prp file in your Palace directory with the one you
download from the website noted above, and Palace should work normally
for you again. Before you replace the current Palace.prp file, make sure
you back it up. Since your current file still works, what some people in
your situation do is find a quiet Palace where they can leave all their
props, and then quit Palace, restart it using the new empty Palace.prp file,
and go pick them up. You may need to do this several times if you have a
lot of props.
