-Editing an Avatar takes some
practice. Most people use the Edit feature in the Prop Bag. Read
Wearing and Saving Avatars section to learn more about the Prop Bag.
With your Prop Bag open, click Edit, you will see a larger version of the following
image.
You have to edit each piece separately.
If your Avatar consists of 9 pieces, you can edit just the parts you
want to change. The tools work just like a paint program. To get an
exact color to paint with, hold Ctrl and put your mouse over the
color on the picture you are editing to select.
To get a paint bucket, hold down alt over the area you want to fill.
When you are done, click OK to save the changes.
-Helpful Editing Commands.
1. Control+Shift+H = flip the prop horizontally (Windows only - Mac uses
PropEdit menu)
2. Control+Shift+V = flip the prop vertically (Windows only - Mac uses PropEdit
menu)
3. When the Prop editing window is open, using the + or - keys on the numberpad
will cycle the background through black, white, and gray.(Windows only - Mac
uses PropEdit menu)
4. When the Prop editing window is open, you can "flood fill" or
"flood erase" by holding down the ALT key (Control key on Mac)
5. When the Prop editing window is open, you can sample a color (eye-dropper
tool) by holding down the Control key (Option key on Mac)

-Dolls on the Web There are many websites which feature ready made Dolls, search the
web and you will find them. All you have to do is right click on
the web picture and select copy. Go back to your palace client and type
control-Q, or Edit menu-Paste Multiple Props. This will put the
Image in your Prop Bag. You will now have to Edit the white parts
out, using the help on this page. To edit the white out fast, choose
the eraser, hold control for paint bucket and erase. Have fun!

-Importing your own images: Some images you find on
the web, or a photograph you want to put on palace, might need a
little work before it will show up on Palace looking good. If Copy
and Paste multiple props does not do the job, there are many sites
that have help on this. Here are a few links you can visit.
